MAGNUM TOWERS offers a full line of knock-down guyed towers.    These towers range in face widths from 36 inches to 15 feet; and heights up to 2,000 feet tall.

MAGNUM utilizes a two-bolt web bracing scheme in its knock-down tower line.    We design and manufacture our MKD-style towers for easy transport and erection.   With a two-bolt design, the iron worker is able to place the diagonal member under a slight tensile force using a spud wrench in one set of holes, while a bolt is slipped into the second set of holes.   This feature permits a very fast assembly of the tower sections.

In very tall towers,  the web bracing is varied in length based on its elevation in the tower.   At very low elevations there is an elastic shortening of the web brace members due to permanent axial compressive forces in the tower legs.   One or both web brace members may be permanently buckled if this elastic shortening is not accounted for in the design and fabrication process.

This is a very heavily loaded multi-purpose knock-down guyed tower with approximately 30 communication tenants near our manufacturing facility in Sacramento, CA, USA.

This tower is 1,000 feet tall and rests on top of the Tuscan Buttes near Red Bluff, California, USA.    This brings the effective height of the structure to nearly 2,000 feet tall with less than one-fourth the cost of a 2,000 foot tall tower.    Its primary use is TV broadcast and the tower supports a 17-inch diameter waveguide at its center.

This sketch illustrates a typical balanced panel point connection of the web bracing with two-bolts in the ends of each structural element.

All materials are solid round or solid angle, so you never have to worry about interior rust or leg splitting due to the build-up of interior ice.
